چکیده

Abstract In this letter, we present a new frequency selective surface (FSS) for shielding 2.4–2.5 and 4.98–5.825 GHz wireless local area network (WLAN) bands. This FSS structure is based on the traditional Sierpinski octagon improve it. Compared with structure, improved one has smaller element size better angular stability. The design realized float glass relative permittivity () of 8, unit cell 0.1152 λ 0 × ( free space wavelength at first resonant frequency). Wide rejection bandwidths (−10 dB) 910 1630 MHz are obtained GHz, respectively. current distribution equivalent circuit model illustrated to explain resonance behavior proposed FSS. Furthermore, exhibits stable response incident angles 0°–80° under transverse electric magnetic polarizations. Finally, was fabricated measured. measured results demonstrate that good performance in WLAN applications.

A Compact and Stable Frequency Selective Surface for WLAN Applications

In this paper, a single-layer bandstop Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) is proposed for Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) Applications. The unit cell of the proposed FSS consists of a modification in a square patch element by the insertion of triangular shaped slots. The designs demonstrate a wide 3.8 GHz stopband in the WLAN frequency range. Moreover, it shows angular stability at various a...

Wide Bandpass and Narrow Bandstop Microstrip Filters Based on Hilbert Fractal Geometry: Design and Simulation Results

This paper presents new Wide Bandpass Filter (WBPF) and Narrow Bandstop Filter (NBSF) incorporating two microstrip resonators, each resonator is based on 2nd iteration of Hilbert fractal geometry. The type of filter as pass or reject band has been adjusted by coupling gap parameter (d) between Hilbert resonators using a substrate with a dielectric constant of 10.8 and a thickness of 1.27 mm. Fractal Dual Band Antenna for WLAN Applications

Fractal antenna, as name concerns, uses fractal i.e. structure does not change and repeat it when large focus has created upon it. This repetition feature of this antenna provides a great flexibility that it can be designed and can used in different frequencies. These antennas gives a finite area of coverage but the diameter of perimeter becomes infinite. Fractal antenna is used in most of the ...

A New Fractal Based PIFA Antenna Design for MIMO Dual Band WLAN Applications

This paper introduces the design of a dual-band internal F-PIFA (Fractal Planar Inverted F-antenna) as a candidate for use in the dual band WLAN (wireless local area network) MIMO (multi-input multi-output) applications. At first, the 4th iteration Koch’s fractal geometry has been applied to the edges of the conventional rectangular patch structure to design a single compact antenna with a dual...
